Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions
Is there a free trial?
Prepped has a limited free trial in place that can be claimed after doing the free sample exam experience. New learners can start with a free sample exam in selected subjects. It lets you experience the real exam flow, explanations, and an initial analytics preview before activating a trial for the full experience.
How do subscriptions and renewals work?
Subscriptions are bought per RE exam (RE1,RE5, etc) for 1, 3, or 6 months. They are once-off purchases and do not renew automatically. If you renew a subject you already have, the new access can queue from your current expiry date so you do not lose the time you still have left.
What happens if I lose power or internet during an exam?
Prepped is built with South African load shedding realities in mind. Your answers are saved as you work, so you can usually return to the same session when you log back in. In normal timed exams, Pause & Exit lets you stop and resume later. In strict timed exams, the clock keeps running once the exam starts.
What payment methods do you accept?
Prepped uses PayFast for secure checkout. PayFast supports major South African payment options such as card payments and Instant EFT, with additional methods like Capitec Pay, QR or wallet payments, and other options depending on what is enabled on the checkout account. Your Prepped purchase is still a once-off payment, not a recurring debit order.
Can my tutor or trainer track my progress?
Yes. A trainer or tutor can send you a link request, and you choose whether to accept it inside your account. Once accepted, they can view your performance and create targeted custom practice for you. You can decline a request or remove access later.
Can I create my own practice exams?
Yes. Prepped includes custom practice tools so you can build sessions around specific subjects and topics. You can also use targeted practice based on weaker areas, so you can focus on what you need to improve instead of only taking preset papers.
